Mineral oil soaks in and conditions. White beeswax seals it up and shines. The recipe goes back to 1961, when Pop, itisntdan's father, perfected the blend as a woodworker and tool collector. The tub of wax never left the family garage, and now itisntdan pours it for USA Made Blade. Not some mass-produced, off-the-shelf wax. That is the entire trick, and it works.

Work it into the wood, steel or scales with a cloth or bare hands. Let it sit a few minutes.

Is it food safe?
Yes. Mineral oil and beeswax are both food safe, which is why the blend is right at home on cutting boards, butcher blocks and kitchen knives.
What can I use it on?
Wood, steel, micarta and leather. Cutting boards, knife blades and pivots, tool heads, axe handles, wood furniture and most things that live a hard life. If it can dry out or rust, the wax can help.
